VHS Camera FAQ

What is VHS Camera?

VHS Camera turns the live camera feed into a worn-in analog tape, with scanlines, chromatic bleed, tracking glitches and noise. You can capture photos and video with audio.

How many tape stocks are there?

Fourteen, from Classic VHS to Broadcast. Each one looks and wears differently.

Does VHS Camera upload my photos or videos?

No. Captures stay in an on-device Tape Library unless you choose to save them to your photo library or share them.

Is VHS Camera free?

It is a free download on the App Store. The free version includes the core camera, the Classic VHS, Lo-Fi and Tapeless stocks, and recordings up to 60 seconds. VHS-CAM Pro is optional.

What does VHS-CAM Pro add?

All fourteen tape stocks, manual tracking, no watermark on saved captures, and takes up to 30 minutes. Subscriptions and a lifetime purchase are offered in the app, and prices vary by storefront.

Do I need an account?

No. VHS Camera has no accounts. Restore a previous purchase any time from Camera Setup.
